Overview
BACKGROUND
As the number of project applications increased, the company’s application data became scattered and managed separately by different departments, leading to data omissions or synchronization difficulties during handover. Therefore, the company aims to build a database based on CRM concepts that integrate all application processes into one system.
Once the system accumulates a certain amount of data, it can also expand data analysis functions to analyze users from different industries, scales, capital, and customer numbers, focusing on the application process’s loss points and critical data to improve the success rate of projects.
ROLE
Product Designer – Research, user experience design, user interface design, prototype design
CHALLENGE
To achieve the goal of rapid development, the team decided to use a ready-made component library. Therefore, in this project, the UI design must search for component libraries that match the corresponding functions. If there are no components that meet the requirements, custom components can be defined.
Highlight
Intuitive Kanban Board Design for Application Stages
The ECF application process of MyStartr is linear, with only one status before entering the next stage. To allow the management team to understand the stage of each applicant intuitively, I utilized a typical Kanban board design found in project management systems, presenting the application process on a single board. Additionally, this board supports a list view function, facilitating the filtering and management of applicant data. This enables team members to easily track application progress, assist applicants in completing the fundraising process, and provide customized application guidance.
All-in-One Management Interface for User Journey and Review
In the MyStartr application journey, applicants need to go through a phone interview stage and two review stages, abbreviated as BD, P2C, and ABC stages, each with their own responsible departments and management methods. To facilitate team management, I integrated the review methods required for these three stages into the system, eliminating the need for multiple systems and enabling more efficient management of the application process, thereby reducing redundancy.

Record User Basic Information and Integrate Team Communication
Finally, this system integrates all applicant information and assists the team in small-task management. The system lists repetitive and tedious tasks required for each applicant during the application process as shared to-do lists. This allows departments to directly understand the assigned tasks and quickly obtain shared data, thus improving communication efficiency within the team.

Design Process
Research, Understanding, and Definition
Through interviews with various departments, I gained a deep understanding of their work and analyzed their true needs. At this stage, I delved into how my colleagues currently manage projects using office software, and extracted core goals as a reference for the new system. Our goal is to create more user-friendly professional software than current office software and reduce repetitive workload and achieve team synchronization.

Functional Planning
n this project, I served as a product manager and carried out functional planning. Through interviews with relevant departments, I initially planned the functions and discussed feasibility with the development team. Finally, I created a prototype and tested and adjusted it with all relevant departments to ensure that the system functions meet their needs.
